Project description

The most important topics of the project are on one hand, to stimulate the cultural and economical activities in the area by creating spaces of developing of these activities and on the other hand, to create an iconic and referential waterfront with quality houses, recreative and cultural, areas and strategic working spaces. The project is conceived as an evolution from the complete occupation of the site to a progressive dis-occupation based on a more logical use of the space, the proposed urban planning and the main directions existing on the area (traffic, visual relations, people’s flows, etc.) to obtain four dynamic towers that emerge from the basement and whose skin has reminiscences of the industrial past of the region.

Los temas más importantes del proyecto son, por un lado, estimular las actividades culturales y económicas en la zona mediante la creación de áreas de desarrollo y por otro lado, crear una línea costera icónica y referencial con viviendas de calidad, áreas recreativas y culturales y zonas estratégicas de trabajo. El proyecto se concibió como una evolución desde la ocupación completa del solar hasta una desocupación progresiva sobre la base de un uso más lógico del espacio, la planificación urbana propuesta y las principales direcciones existentes en la zona (tráfico, relaciones visuales, flujos de personas, etc.) para obtener cuatro torres dinámicas cuya piel presenta reminiscencias del pasado industrial del entorno.
