Rehabilitation and revitalization of a shopping center from “micro-surgeries”
This shopping mall presents two peculiarities: a very important part of their income depends on the supply of restoration and the bulk of business is based on “outlet” sales (excesses of stock at reduced prices). However, the mall presented a setting that didn’t allow to stay for a long period or favored the use for families, which is the most specific target due to its programmatic proposal.
The location in a Mediterranean climate allows as to appreciate the fact that the bulk of the activity can be carried out outside and the indoor activities may not be conceived with a negative view on the part of user. In addition, as in the case of Zaragoza, it needs an adaptation to the paradigmatic shifts in the way of understanding the leisure in recent years, especially due to the advance of new technologies.
