Project description

The concept of Public Space is radicalized erasing the intermediate situations-half private, half public. The dwellings are conceived like the only private chinks of the intervention, the only intimacy spaces. The public space is configured in two complementary layers. The lower level condenses the principal public constructions while the upper space is generated like a blanket that covers the territory assuming its topography. It has the recreative uses of rest and entertainment. Both worlds are related through the intimacy spaces formed by the dwellings. The clue is that public blanket that colonizes the territory, fed by the basement and which feeds the dwellings.The proposal is recognized by the towers that act like icons to identify the areas where the uses can be defined. Programmatic fluidity and flexibility are primary targets of the project.

El concepto de Espacio Público se radicaliza eliminando las situaciones intermedias: espacio semiprivado o semi público. Las viviendas son concebidas como los únicos resquicios privados de la intervención, los únicos espacios de intimidad. El espacio público se configura en dos capas complementarias. El nivel inferior condensa las construcciones principales públicas mientras el espacio superior se genera como una manta que cubre el territorio y asume su topografía. Contiene los usos recreativos del resto. Ambos mundos se relacionan por los espacios de intimidad formados por las viviendas. La clave es la manta pública que coloniza el territorio, alimentado por el sótano y que a su vez alimenta a las viviendas. El proyecto se reconoce por las torres que actúan como iconos para identificar las áreas donde se definen los usos. Fluidez programática y flexibilidad son los principales objetivos del proyecto.
